Katrina Schaffer
Katrina Schaffer works as an independent videographer and filmmaker, as a personal-care attendant to an eighty-six-year-old anarchist poet, and is currently studying sign language and cello. She graduated in 2002 with a BFA in Video Art, and has since worked mostly in documentary video focusing on queer and women's issues, and produced a few short stop-motion animation pieces. In her eight years in New York City, she has worked with numerous social justice and philanthropy organizations that have strong ties to North Star Fund, and in the last year is happy to have had more direct involvement.
