Melea Seward

Melea Seward brings to the board of North Star Fund curiosity, a deep and diverse social network, strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a desire to see positive change.

Melea grew up in the Midwest and Texas, the daughter of a traveling preacher. She went to Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2004, she left her position as an acquisitions and development editor for an academic publisher to pursue personal writing and art projects. She currently works for herself doing strategic and communications consulting. She also teaches internet strategy at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
