Solangel Cubas

Solangel Cubas is excited to contribute her expertise in organizational development and as a researcher to the North Star Board of Directors.  She received her B.A. from Harvard University and has worked in content licensing for 13 years, first in book publishing, now in digital publishing.

Solangel also brings to the board a strong commitment to the communities that North Star Fund supports. She grew up in Washington Heights, where, according to Solangel, "I saw adversity and lack of opportunity all around me. North Star empowers visionary leaders from within these communities to rise up as champions and help create a more equitable environment."

Solangel sees her involvement with North Star Fund as a chance to "Do something meaningful for our communities. Change comes too slowly, so it is vital that we all do what we can to help move it along just a little bit faster."
