A donor advised fund offers a simple, low-cost, flexible way to do your charitable giving. By establishing a fund at North Star Fund, you can use our 30 years of experience to amplify your personal philanthropy.

Your donor advised fund supports our activist-led grantmaking in significant ways. Administrative fees add to the funds available for our other grants. And many donors choose to support groups already recognized by our Community Funding Committee for doing effective cutting-edge work. When you open a donor advised fund at North Star Fund, you join with other donors to raise the profile of progressive philanthropy in New York City.

At North Star Fund, we have our finger on the pulse of community organizing and grassroots activism in New York City. You may know which organizations you'd like to support. Or, if you'd like some help finding groups doing good work, for a small fee North Star Fund can help you direct your money to what you care most about.
