Inadequate housing, lack of affordable health care, poor public schools, and lack of economic opportunities impede the quality of life of low-income Brooklyn residents. Brooklyn Congregations United is an interfaith coalition of 22 Christian, Jewish and Muslim congregations that develops grassroots community leaders with the skills to advocate for equality of opportunity and access to affordable housing.
