VAMOS Unidos

Mission

Due to a cap on vending licenses, less than 4,000 of the approximately 20,000 street vendors in New York City are licensed. This leaves the rest open to arrests and harassment by police, with regular fines and confiscations of merchandise. VAMOS Unidos organizes street vendors throughout New York City to increase access to permits, and improve relationships with police.
