Year-End Power-Up Recap

Thanks so much for all of you who joined us for our Year-End Power-Up on December 4, 2018 at the  LGBTQ Center of New York. We came together to mix and mingle and to share our plans for 2019 — our fortieth anniversary year!

Director Jennifer Ching welcomed over 100 guests to the space and shared a glimpse of the vibrant community activities of the previous week at North Star Fund: our latest activist-led grantmaking, conversations within philanthropy and our latest Giving Project member training.

Two North Star Fund Giving Project leaders, Meeta and Sarah, shared three ways to show your support for grassroots organizing in New York City and the Hudson Valley. Which people then proceeded to do at our “Power-Up Station:”

• Join the Host Committee
• Become a new donor to North Star Fund
• Share our 2018 Action Report

We also debuted a few of our “North Star Fund Trivia” questions and shared photos from our internal archive. You can check out archive photos and try your hand at North Star Fund trivia, which we debuted at the event:
