Grantee Resources

Capacity Building & Technical Assistance

In addition to funding, North Star Fund helps provide skills development through workshops in grassroots fundraising, board development, volunteer management, communications strategy, and more. We pool our efforts with a collaborative of other funders through the New York City Capacity Building Collaborative to provide the highest quality resources and workshops to our grantees.

We also support the Advocacy Institute, a legislative advocacy training center for social justice and movement-building organizations seeking policy change in New York City and State. Advocacy Institute is supported by North Star Fund and requires a subscription from grantees.
