2019 End the Drug War to End Overdose Legislative Awareness Day

April 8

On April 8th, 2019, join New Yorkers all across the state in Albany for the 2019 End the Drug War to End Overdose  Legislative Awareness Day.

We are providing transportation from NYC and Western New York. Please register to reserve your seat and learn more information.

New York State Is in Crisis

Overdose now takes the lives of more New Yorkers than homicides, traffic accidents, and suicides combined. Nationally, overdose is the leading cause of death for people under 50. From 2013 to 2015, 7,213 New Yorkers died of overdose.

What Can We Do?

We can end overdose in New York by leading with compassion, following the evidence, and leveraging resources towards vital public health and harm reduction programs. New York has been a leader in responding to the opioid crisis, and is considered a national model in innovative initiatives to support harm reduction, expand the use of naloxone, and remove insurance barriers to timely and effective treatment.
