Angbeen Saleem is passionate about social justice, storytelling, community organizing and the intersections of those.
Before joining North Star Fund, she worked at MTV’s Social Impact department where she worked on proliferating messages about social issues and connecting movements to young people through MTV’s various digital and on-air platforms.
Before moving to New York in 2017, she worked at the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Alabama, growing their digital presence to reach almost a million followers, helping rebuild their website, building campaign websites and making issue-explainer videos.
She graduated with a B.A. in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and lives in Brooklyn.
