Jamie Tyberg

Jamie Tyberg is a Brooklyn-based movement fundraiser and climate activist, originally from South Korea. After two years of serving as the first-ever development staff of New York Communities for Change (NYCC), a grassroots organization of low-income members of color fighting against racial oppression and economic injustice, she was promoted to director of development.

Prior to joining NYCC, Jamie spent a year with the Korea Society as their membership coordinator. Jamie also helped found the National Ecosocialist Working Group of the Democratic Socialists of America, building a robust network of climate activists and organizers across the nation to combat the climate crisis.

She received a BA in Journalism and Film from the University of Georgia in 2014, where she was the recipient of the McClure Broadcasting Scholarship.
