Jennifer is the president of Christopher Street Financial (CSF), which is celebrating its 35th anniversary specializing in the unique financial issues of LGBT couples, individuals, and their allies. Jen is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with over thirty years of investment experience beginning at JP Morgan and Bear Stearns in institutional research sales.
“I find working with individuals and their money to be far more rewarding than working with portfolio managers. Every individual who walks through our door has their own unique financial situation and their own emotional issues about wealth. Coaching them to make sound life decisions and live their very best life is what really jazzes me.”
In addition to developing solutions to the financial dilemmas of her clients, Jen manages CSF’s team of professionals who provide tax, estate, and financial planning services. They are proud to present a complete life planning umbrella to their clients.
Jen believes that it is CSF’s duty to be both an activist and major donor in the LGBT community. She is currently chairing the board of directors for a brand new organization creating a Pride Center in her hometown of Nyack in Rockland County. She is also a co-chair of SAGE’s Leadership Committee and is also deeply involved with the efforts of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
In addition to her work at Christopher Street, Jen and her spouse, Sue Smith, own and manage commercial and residential rental properties. They love the design challenges of renovating historical buildings. Jen and Sue share a home in Nyack, NY, a small, diverse community on the Hudson River, north of Manhattan.
