Junie François Pswarayi

Finance & Operations Director

Brooklyn-born and Haitian bred in Brooklyn, New York, Junie brings over 15 years of experience in finance, human resources and operations at for profit and non-profit organizations and companies as diverse as Language ETC (now known as Washington English Center), The Africa Society, and The Feldman Group, a democratic polling firm in Washington, DC. From 2013-2020, she helped build and professionalize the operational, human resource and finance functions at Democracy Works, a civic-tech nonpartisan nonprofit helping Americans vote and participate in all elections. She also spearheaded the organization’s efforts to widen its reach with communities of color in the field of fundraising through philanthropic partnerships. She is deeply interested in people, culture transformation work and elevating Black-led initiatives.

Junie attended the University of Maryland College Park, holds a certificate in nonprofit management from Montgomery College and a Certificate from Good Shepherd Services’ Anti-Racism Equity Institute and is completing a fundraising certificate at NYU. She serves on the Board of Directors of Brooklyn Free Space School and founded CultureDeep, a culture and organizational development consultancy nascent nonprofit organizations. Junie is also a proud mom and wife currently living in Brooklyn.
