Marcia Olivo

Marcia Olivo is a bilingual visionary strategist, human rights advocate and thought leader dedicated to improving the lives of women, girls and femmes worldwide. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Marcia has more than two decades of experience in public policy, grassroots organizing, strategic development and fundraising for the Global South’s social justice movement.

She has spent the last two decades collaborating with a wide range of global and local stakeholders to challenge policies that keep Black and Brown women, girls and femmes from reaching their full potential. She has worked as an immigrant grassroots Bronx organizer and pioneering co-founder of Sisterhood of Survivors, a Florida-based group led by survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as Executive Director at the Miami Workers Center, a worker’s rights community-based organization, and currently as an independent consultant.
