Michelle Grier

Michelle Grier (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). Born and raised in Brooklyn, she is a Black feminist and social justice worker. She has experience as a mental health practitioner for children and families in schools and community-based organizations, as an educational advocate, program designer and has held leadership positions in nonprofit organizations.
Michelle was Chief Program Officer at Girls for Gender Equity from 2020-2023, where she worked alongside an intergenerational team advocating for gender and racial justice, centering the experiences of cis and trans Black girls and gender expansive youth in the United States.
In July 2023, Michelle became the Director of the Center for Wellbeing and Happiness at the Lower East Side Girls Club, where she is building a hyperlocal community based programming focused on care, joy, health, love and liberation.
