Grants

Our grant program exists to resource grassroots organizing for justice in New York City and the Hudson Valley. We distributed close to $3 million in grants in our latest fiscal year, the majority of it (over $2 million) after the start of the New York State COVID-19 lockdown. Once the lockdown began, we pared down our application process as much as possible, offered auto-renewals to current grantees and increased grant sizes.

Although having multiple grants programs enables us to increase support for our grantees, we are committed to streamlining our application process and making it less complicated for both new applicants and current grantees.  Learn more about our grantmaking on the Apply page on our website.

  • Future of Organizing (two rounds totaling $1,468,000 to grantees in both New York City and the Hudson Valley)
