North Star Fund Grantee Lunch & Learn – Easy and Affordable Design Tools

• Do you need to step up your design game, but you’re not sure how?
• Do you look at other organization’s Instagram feeds with envy?
• Are you worried that your organization doesn’t have a budget for design tools like Adobe Creative Suite?

Good design can give your organization’s communications a much-needed boost, especially on social media platforms where you can only have seconds to catch people’s attention. But there are often two separate challenges that grassroots organizations face: 1- they need a foundation of understanding of good design principles, and 2- access to tools to create materials based on those principles. But you’re in luck! The web provides both inexpensive ways to learn about compelling design and affordable tools to create designs for you organization.

This Lunch & Learn will be led by Angbeen Saleem, North Star Fund’s digital communications coordinator, who creates many of North Star Fund’s share images and graphics (it’s her job to make you look good!), and has worked on both the local and national level to boost the signal on organizing thru engaging visual design and video content.
